Outerwear Selling Guide

Data-backed coat, jacket, puffer and windbreaker targets for the colder-month ramp.

Selling Guide

Outerwear has higher ticket prices and higher mistake cost. The table shows strong resale bands, but buy-in can jump hard, especially on Arc'teryx, Moncler and premium puffers. This is not the lane for lazy authentication.

Buying Rules

Buy outerwear for condition first. Damage, delamination, broken zips and stains kill the premium quickly.
Use sold comps for any model outside the database notes, especially Arc'teryx and technical jackets.
Do not tie low capital in expensive outerwear unless you can hold it into peak winter demand.
For higher-risk premium brands, authentication beats margin. A cheap fake is not stock, it is dead money.

Selling Strategy

List with exact model words where known: Beta AR, Cerium, Nuptse, puffer, windbreaker and down jacket.
Price strong condition pieces near the upper band, but drop quickly if the weather window passes.
Show flaws clearly. Outerwear buyers care about zips, cuffs, lining, fill, waterproofing and logos.

Photography Tips

Photograph front, back, zip, hood, cuffs, inner tags, care label and any model label.
Show the item hanging so the shape and fill are obvious.
Use close-ups for technical fabric, logo embroidery and any wear points.

Key Rules

Capital: Outerwear is powerful but cash-heavy. Low-capital sellers should stick to faster autumn layers first.
Timing: Source before everyone comes back for winter, list before the first real cold spell.
Verification: If model or authenticity is unclear, check solds before buying.
