Buying Strategy

The Numbers

Max Total Cost TTC

£20

Item + ~£2-3 shipping - set filter max to £16

Target While Learning

Stay under £14 TTC until you're comfortable

Sell Price

Standard: £45 · Better Condition: £50

Profit Per Flip

£20–£30

Buying Rules

Hard limit: never exceed £20 TTC under any circumstances
Sizes: S, M, L only - XL and above takes too long to sell; never buy XS
Best colours: Black (fastest seller), Navy (strong demand), Grey (reliable)
Avoid: Brown or unusual colourways - these are slow to shift and not worth the risk

Reading Demand Signals

Favourites indicate demand before conversion
High favourites on older listings = price too high
High favourites on new listings = strong demand - hold price
To find niches, sort listings by most favourites - see what's getting attention
Always cross-check with sold listings to confirm actual demand
Velocity matters: fast listings = high competition; slow listings + consistent sales = undersupplied market
Check sold + high-favourite listings before every cop - takes 3 minutes, removes guesswork

Selling Strategy

List at £45 - do not undersell regardless of how long it's been sitting
Better condition pieces should be listed at £50
Bump your listings every 7 days, prioritising Fridays to capture weekend traffic
If an item receives no enquiries after 2 bumps, drop the price by £5 and bump again
Do not flood the platform - list a maximum of 2-3 items per day to avoid suppressing your own listings

Photography Tips

Shoot against a clean, plain background in natural light (near a window works well)
Main photo: logo flat, centred, and clearly visible
Include close-up shots of the zip pull and logo as secondary images
Use Banna Pro or ChatGPT (image tools) to touch up lighting if needed

Sourcing Notes

Filter links: Sellers list the same item under different search terms - quarter zip, half zip, 1/2 zip, 1/4 zip - so running a single filter will cause you to miss a large portion of available stock. Use all four links every time you check.

Structured Buying Plan

This only works if it becomes a repeatable system.

Week 1 Test: Use last month's data. Test 1-2 new items alongside core stock
Week 2 Lock In: Cut what didn't sell. Double down on what works. No new tests
Week 3 Stock Up: Heavy buying on proven items. Build inventory before payday
Week 4 Sell: Minimal buying. Focus on listing, bumping, and converting stock

• Weekly cop target
• Daily spend limit
• Max TTC per item type
• Weekly review (what sold / didn't / next moves)

The most consistent resellers aren't smarter - they just follow a system every week without fail

Baseline Principle

Most people fail by doing too much too early.

• Pick one source and get consistent (e.g. 3 cops per day)
• Hit £1,000/month from that alone before expanding
• Consistency > randomness
• Expanding too early guarantees inconsistency

Breadth feels like progress. Depth makes money.

Buying Decisions & Issues

Authenticity Check: If the photos look off or suspiciously too clean, request additional images before purchasing
Cancellations: If you need to back out of a purchase, never cancel yourself - ask the seller to initiate the cancellation from their side
Questions: Drop a message or ticket in the server and someone will help
